'GIO BOX' (30 years old) is a uniquely talented singer from Milan, Italy. You could say she's versatile. She takes on everything! Pop, rock, motown, soul, latin, latin Jazz, house/dance, R&B, euro, reggae, reggaeton, hiphop, electro; you name it, she can do it. In fact she's probably done it.

That's part of where her nickname comes from. Her family and friends started calling her "Gio Box" because if you hum a few bars, she goes on full performance mode: no radio, mp3, or costly batteries required! That's Gio, the human Juke Box.

Gio, in her young career, has given voice for cartoon soundtracks that even after 10 years are still on tv "Nadja Applefield"; check it out on YouTube or on RAI2 (Italian National TV).

She recorded choruses for popular Italian singers, like Adriano Pappalardo and duetted on RAI1 tv with Raf, Davide de Marinis

In the last years, this globetrotter has been performing in Dubai, at the Shangri-La hotel; in Malta, as a resident singer in one of the classiest clubs: Hugo's Company.

Talking about classy venues, she lived for a couple of months in Monaco Monte Carlo, where she performed every night at the Living Room.

In London, she was hired at various restaurants to entertain customers in Knightsbridge at the "Bunga Restaurant", in Piccadilly Circus at the Italian restaurant "Little Italy" and at many others that filled her calendar in the year 2013…till now 2018, invited to sing as a special guest in Leysdown, UK.

So, as you might have guessed, Gio Box Loves to travel. When on tour she gets to do two of the things she loves the most: singing and discovering new places; For instance, when she took the trip to Dubai she decided to visit the countries around and flew to Sri Lanka where she had the chance to sing at hotels and at the same time she provided food for two different orphanages.

But everything began in Italy. That's where she started to put together a show called "Hit film music show", made of musicians, dancers, singers and cabaret actors.

She is currently performing this show in the Canary Islands hotels and Casinos, where she has been living for almost two years. Some of her other acts are "Divas Return" for who loves Tina Turner, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Beyonce and other pop rock singers ... This show has enjoyed such success that she's been booked for international gigs to present the Solo act tributes to Adele and Celine Dion.

Gio box has been part of 2017/2018 edition of Spain Got Talent, after she was called from the program, because they saw her video while she was singing Adele's "Someone like you".

A great year for her auditioning for the Voice in Spain where she got through to the finalist signing a cover of Alhanna Miles - Black Velvet, Blues its in her blood.

She represented the Freedom Festival at the Puerta del Sol during the World Pride in Madrid 1st July 2017. At these events she has shared the same stage as international superstars like Cascada and Inna (Maspalomas Gay Pride).

...Gio never stops; if she is not performing at night she focuses on her music. Original songs that she has been composing since she was 15, when she got her first computer. She didn't even know how it worked but she did know how to turn notes into gold.

Today she has written and composed more than 100 songs, and You can download the digital Album on ITunes, Spotify, Amazon and many other platforms.

Gio has the full support of her Family and when she was still living with them in Milan, her older sister Manuela helped her preparing coreography to stay fit and updated with the new steps of her favourite pop stars…Christina Aguilera, Beyonce…

Her next trips this year will be in Tenerife to perform at the Hard Rock, Marbella Puerto Banus at Joys Club, UK this July where she also will have the chance to meet Sylvester Stallone on a Special Dinner Evening for the presentation of the new movie CREED 2; 

She finds travelling very inspiring for her to make new beats!

Her first Album’s lyrics are mostly written by the artist Michael Marouli also Singer of a Duo track she has composed.

Gio, M.Marouli and Lucio Proluk (the master of her video-clips and graphics) have created such an amazing team since she started performing in the Yumbo Center of the Canary Islands where all the LGBT events take actions.

Gio has a motto:  “Music is the best therapy for our soul “.

After she went through a tough moment of her life, Music gave her hopes, venting the emotions through lyrics and notes that not only or her, but the entire world can relate to as well.

Her goals in life is to make music for who believes in positivity, stop wars, stop the violence and “ make a better place “ like Micheal Jackson says in one of his songs.

“A pure heart is what this world needs”.

 

P.S. Her Italian fans know her as Gigliola Scatola, but her fans that "really" know her call her "Gio Box" for short.

P.S.S. "Gio" is short for Gigliola (her first name means a type of Lily flower) and Scatola means "Box" in Italian.
